Graduate of Baylor University and the Naval Officers Training School. He served on the USS Gurke Destroyer following the Korean War. Bob was an accomplished Naval officer.
In 1972 Bob became the Director of Adult and Continuing Education for Texas Education Agency. In 1979 he was elected Chairman of the National Council of State Directors of Adult Education. He retired in 1986.
He was a member of First Baptist Church, Georgetown, TX.
