November 24, 1949 - September 11, 1998
Ervin Earl Blansit, 48, died Friday, Sept. 11, at Hamilton General Hospital.
Services were Sunday, Sept. 13, at Riley Funeral Home Chapel with George Tolbert officiating. Committal services followed at the Pottsville Public Cemetery.
Mr. Blansit was born Nov. 24, 1949, at Crowell, Foard County, the son of J.C. .and Lois Livingston Blansit. He was a rancher and stockman where he loved to work with livestock. He was married to Mary Lee Fuqua. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his mother, Lois McPherson of Hamilton; a daughter, Jennifer Blansit of Fredericksburg; four brothers, Johnny Blansit of Goldthwaite, Raymond Birk of Oklahoma City, Okla., Henry Birk of Wyoming and Ernest Birk of Burleson; a sister, Rosalie Matthews of Waco; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were James Blackwell, Jimmy Headly, Mike Fry, Johnny Blansit, John Alexander and Ricky Craig.
