Alice Rosemon Cox, 90, of DeLeon died Monday, Jan. 25, at Comanche Community Hospital.
Services were set for Wednesday, Jan. 27, at 1 p.m. in the Nowlin Funeral Home Chapel in DeLeon with Rev. Tom Satterwhite officiating. Burial was to be in the Pottsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Cox was born April 24, 1908, in Hamilton County, the daughter of James M. and Novie Lacewell McPherson. She was married to Carl Cox on April 6, 1929, in Gustine. She was a homemaker and had lived in DeLeon since 1980, coming from Godley and Odessa. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Claude McPherson and Earl McPherson, a sister, Tommie Smith, and a grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Cox of DeLeon; four sons, Charles Cox, Bill Cox, Harold Cox and Gary Cox; three daughters, Peggie Penn and Lola Carr, and Patsy Shields; four sisters, Georgia Northcutt and Margie Wilkins, Jimmie Dean Adcock of Gustine and Mary Ellen Tallent of Weatherford; 16 grandchildren; and several great-grand-children and great-great-grandchildren.
