Lillian Leota Glover, 95, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at a local nursing facility.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: 3 p.m. in Pottsville Cemetery in Hamilton County.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Foster's Home for Children, Box 978, Stephenville, Texas 76401.
Lillian was born April 20, 1913. in Hamilton County to George and Mary Glover. Following high school and business school, she worked briefly for Nocona Boot Co. During World War II, she moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for the U.S. government until her retirement. For the past 30 years, she had lived in the Fort Worth area.
She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, the most recent congregations being Saginaw Church of Christ and Northwest Church of Christ.
Her interests were widespread. She was a volunteer for several years at the nursing home in which she spent her last years.
She was an accomplished seamstress and cook and took a number of senior courses at TCJC. She had kept in contact with many Washington friends until just recently.
The family is grateful to the staffs of River Oaks Health and Rehab and Alpha Omega Hospice for their loving care.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruby Glover; brothers, J.H. and Olney Glover; and three nephews.
Survivors: She is survived by and will be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews.
