Eleanor Henderson of Evant died July 18 in Manchaca. She was 101.
Funeral services were held July 22 in Evant at the Evant Church of Christ. Burial followed at Murphree Cemetery in Evant.
Mrs. Henderson was born in Kaufman County Oct. 10, 1903 to William Shelby and Sarah Gray Wright. She married J.D. Henderson Nov. 5, 1929. She owned and operated the Evant Variety Store until her retirement. She was a member of the Evant Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughters, LaNelle Johnson of Houston and Lora Henderson of Buda; son, Willis Henderson of Kerrville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
