Cook, CECILE FLORENCE COOK, 70, affectionately nicknamed "Doodle", passed peacefully with her family at her side on December 1, 2004. Born February 7, 1934, she was a lifetime Dallas resident graduating from Hockaday School and attending Mt. Vernon Academy. She touched numerous lives through volunteering, chairing the board of the Florence Foundation for seventeen years, and personally boosting the spirit and health of untold numbers with her famous matzoh ball soup. Survivors include husband Fred E. Cook, daughter Denise Wickline & husband Joe, daughter Terry Pritchett, stepdaughter Denise Smith & husband Don, grandchildren Corinne, Joseph, & Olivia Wickline, Ryan Britt and Tommy Smith. She is also survived by her brother David L. Florence and his wife Sandra, Gene & Millie Gall, niece Kathy Parish & husband David, niece Shari McCandless & husband Mark, and niece Helen Florence, and great niece Alexandra McCandless. Cecile was preceded in death by parents Fred F. and Helen Florence. She was a longtime friend of Bill W. Services will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2005 at 3:00 P.M. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel, Rabbi Gerald J. Klein, officiating. Visitation will be all day Saturday at Sparkman/Hillcrest. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Sparkman/Hillcrest. Private interment Hillcrest Memorial Park.
