SACHS, June Fagadau June Fagadau Sachs, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, August 28th. Born June 15, 1925, to S. H. and Clara Belle Fagadau in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, June was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas, where her father worked in the oil industry. At age 15, she attended the University of Texas at Austin, then transferred and graduated from Ohio State University, with degrees in history and education. In 1945, she married the love of her life, Jack Sachs, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania/Wharton School of Business and handsome Navy PT Boat captain stationed in the South Pacific. They were married for 54 years. After WWII, June and Jack settled in Dallas surrounded by family and friends, where they raised their three children at the home they built at 5850 Dexter Drive. June worked at The Old World antique store, and at the Dallas Market Center, but her main joys were raising her children and numerous family dogs, enjoying her dearest friends, traveling, and perfecting her regular bridge and canasta games. She was a lifetime member of Hadassah, Temple Emanu-El, National Council of Jewish Women and a community volunteer at Jewish Family Service Dallas. She and Jack planned numerous family vacations throughout the United States, Mexico, Canada and Costa Rica. In later years, they traveled extensively with friends and family around the world until Jack's passing in April of 1999. June continued playing bridge and traveling in later years with her son and daughters to New York, Italy, Israel, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington and more. June is survived by her three children: Richard (Susan) Sachs of Colorado Springs; Robin Sachs (Bob Farkas) of Dallas; Lauren (Steven) Eisenberg of Plantation, Florida; her grandchildren Stephanie (Chris) Marsh; Michael (Stephanie) Sachs; Adam (Shamikah) Martinez-Donald; Jared (Madelyn) Eisenberg and Rachel Eisenberg; and great-grandchildren Louden Sachs, Bennett Sachs, Hailey Marsh, Collin Marsh. She is also survived by her long-time dear family friend, Elizabeth Byrd. The family is deeply indebted to VITAS and The Tradition Independent & Assisted Living Prestonwood and to all the wonderful caregivers and staff. The family also remembers June's dear and close brother, Sanford P. (Tex) Fagadau and sister-in-law, Jeanne M. Fagadau, of blessed memory. Deep thanks, gratitude and love are also extended to June's full time loving companion, Sharon Perry, as well as to Veronica Adkins, of blessed memory, and to all of the friends and family that she loved and who helped to enrich her life. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Temple Emanu-El, 8500 Hillcrest Road with burial to follow at Sparkman/Hillcrest. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of June Sachs to the Sachs-Farkas Family Fund @ Jewish Family Service Foundation; PT Boaters, Inc. - P.O.
