Funeral services for Jake Fehr, 71 of Seminole were held Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gospel Mission Church with Pastor Bill Wiebe officiating and Pastor Pete Thiessen assisting. Burial followed at Gaines County Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.

He passed away at his home Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Jake Fehr was born in Mexico on April 26, 1949 to Peter and Maria Heide Fehr. He married Amy Klippenstein in Paraguay on July 15, 1973. He was a member of the Gospel Mission Church and worked as a carpenter. Jake enjoyed playing guitar, singing, telling stories, hunting, and family gatherings; he especially loved all his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one son, and one sister.

Jake is survived by his wife Amy Fehr of Seminole; three sons, Rudolf Fehr and wife Michelle, Peter Fehr and wife Jayme, and Ricky Fehr and wife Tyler, all of Amarillo; three daughters, Mary Hobson and husband Clinton of Lubbock, Elsie Rempel and husband Jake of Canyon, and Linda Norris of Hobbs, New Mexico; two brothers, John Fehr of Canada and Peter Fehr of Paraguay, seven sisters; Anna Redecop and husband Peter of Canada, Susana Neudorf and husband Peter of Paraguay, Mary Fehr, Tina Fehr, Justina Krahn and husband John, and Nancy Fehr, all of Canada, and Lisa Siemens of Seminole; 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
