SANTA FE - Mrs. Rosalie Frances Ring passed from this life Wednesday morning, June 22, 2016, in Santa Fe.

Born February 12, 1927 in Galveston, Mrs. Ring had been a lifelong resident of Arcadia. Rosalie worked as a beautician and was the owner and operator of Rosalie’s Beauty Shop for over 15 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, was a longtime singer in their choir, a member of the Alter Society, the Friendship Club, the VFW Post 5400 Ladies Auxiliary, a lifetime member of the Women’s International Bowling Association and a faithful blood donor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Joseph and Rosalie (Lenz) Higgins; husband, Herbert Conway Ring, Sr.; 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her son, Herbert C. Ring, Jr. and wife, Terry of Lincoln, ME; daughters, Gayle Crump of Santa Fe, Gerri Guyton of Hitchcock, Glenda Cardwell and husband, Billy of Santa Fe; brother, Victor Higgins of Dunwood, GA; sister-in-law, Joyce Higgins of LaMarque; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father John Taosan, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Travis Cardwell, James Martin Ginn, Jr., Richard Ring, Cayden Peterson, Gregory Verm and Kameron Ring. Honorary bearers will be Zachary Bilbrey and Preston Ring.

Friends may call from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501, with a vigil and rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon Alvin Lovelady officiating.

Memorials in the form of donations may be made in Rosalie’s name to the Knights of Columbus Council 10393, 11100 Highway 6, Santa Fe, TX 77510.

BROOTEN, MINNESOTA — Mr. James Olen Crump passed from this life Monday, February 18, 2008, at his home.

Born December 28, 1976, in Texas City, James had attended Santa Fe High School and graduated from Moose Lake High School in Moose Lake, Minnesota.

He was of the Catholic faith and had worked for Galveston Co. Sheriff’s office, the DeSota Co. Sheriff’s Department in Mississippi and was currently working on his family’s farm in Minnesota.

Survivors include his parents, David and Gayle Crump of Brooten; daughter, Megan Brooke Crump of Mississippi; brother, John Arthur Crump of Idaho; sister, Carey Lynn Crump of Minnesota; grandmother, Rosalie Ring of Santa Fe; nephews, James and Cayden; nieces, Kristin, Kaitlin and Kimberly; numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, Father Dominic Pistone officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Friends may sign James’ book from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, (409) 925-3501.

Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the Knights of Columbus Council 10393, P. O. Box 489, Santa Fe, Texas 77517.
