Borger News Herald - February 20, 1991

Funeral services for Wesley B. Rynders, 74, Borger, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Robert Smith, pastor First Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

Mr. Rynders died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1991 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

A native of Fort Smith, Ark., he had been a Borger area resident for 43 years. He was a retired chemical engineer at Phillips Philtex Plant.

He was a member of First Christian Church, and a World War II Army veteran.

He married Alice Browning May 20, 1941 at Memphis, Tenn.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Rynders of Marietta, Ga.; and Jim Rynders of The Colony, Texas; one daughter, Linda Stieferman of Dallas; one Brother, Leo Rynders of Abilene; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eugene Woodward, Garland Kite, John Hinds, Archie Adams, Howard Aylor, and R.O. Gregg.

DALLAS - Alice Rynders, 73, died Sunday April 7, 1996 in Dallas.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Tom Harrison, Pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Marianna, Ark, she was a Borger resident for 46 years before moving to Dallas. She was a housewife and a member of First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley B. Rynders on February 20, 1991.

Survivors include 2 sons, John Rynders of Marietta, Ga., and Jim Rynders of Houston; a daughter Linda Stieferman of Dallas; 2 brothers Carroll Browning of Huntsville, Tx, and Bill Browning of Ivyland, Penn.; and 7 grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends at the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
