Mickey Savage
October 6, 1981 - October 13, 2016
Mickey Savage, 35, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016.
Funeral service will be held 10 am Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. John Catholic Church with Mr. Victor Andrade officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. In lieu of flowers the family requests that his memory be honored with a gift to Snack Pack for Kids, (please write Borger and Mickey's name on the memo line), 701 Park Place Avenue, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
Mickey was born October 6, 1981 in Lubbock, Texas to Bonnie and Michael Savage. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America, and he received his in 1999. He graduated from Borger High School in 2000 and received his Bachelors of Mass Communication from Texas Tech University in 2006. Mickey enjoyed listening to music and watching films, but nothing brought more joy to his life than working with the kids at Gateway Elementary.
Survivors include his parents, Bonnie and Michael Savage of Borger; brother, Sam Savage of Lubbock; canine companions, Cimarron and Annie; aunts, Terri Savage of Richmond, Virginia, Kim Cole and husband Tim of Sonora, Texas; and cousin, Cassi Cole of Addison, Texas.
