Wife of Harold Erskine Culver
Memorial services for Nancy L. Culver, 75, of Slaton will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 18) in the First Baptist Church with Dr. Cleve Kerby officiating. Services are under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.
She died Monday after a lengthy illness.
She was born July 19, 1935, in Plainview. She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1953. She married Harold E. Culver in Clovis, N.M. on July 5, 1953. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad. They lived in Littlefield, Slaton, Crosbyton, Sonora and moved back to Slaton in 1975.
Mrs. Culver worked as a secretary in the insurance business for Vascar Browning and Wayne Edwards, retiring in 1994.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and served on the boards of the Slaton Senior Citizens Center and Caprock Santa Fe Credit Union.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Sharon and husband Ricky McCarty, Deborah and husband Billy Pickens, all of Slaton; a son Kelvin Culver of Fort Worth; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
