Lillie Schmitz, 95, passed away Monday, May 4, 2015.
Funeral service will be 10 am Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Chaplain Richard Bartel, officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Lillie was born October 14, 1919 in Gainesville, Texas to Robert and Mary Ardry. On September 29, 1940 she married Richard Schmitz in Plainview. They moved to Borger in 1941, where she worked for J.C. Penney as a cashier and bookkeeper for many years until she retired. Lillie was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church for over 60 years. She received numerous community service awards including the retired senior volunteer program for over 20 years of service. Lillie spent 20 years as a volunteer for High Plains Helping Hands in Borger and served on their board of directors. Her hobbies were sewing, quilting, crocheting and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, R.L. and Mary Ila Ardry; her husband, Richard in 1999; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Schmitz of Coldspring, Texas, Susan McEndree and husband David McEndree of Lubbock; granddaughters, Heather Hill and husband Andrew Brown of Post, Mallory McEndree of Lubbock; six nephews and nieces.
