Mattie G. Lambert, 79, Texas City, Texas, and formerly of Clay City, died at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in Galveston County Hospital.
Services will be in Texas City at the Emkenlinton Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest L.; two daughters, Dorothy Mae Grove, Texas City, and Helen Fay Moseley, Wheaton; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Earnest L. Lambert, 87, of Texas City, Texas, died Sunday evening in Manor Care Nursing Home, Texas City.
Services will be held at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will be Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, Hitchock, Texas.
Mr. Lambert was born April 16, 1894 in Decatur, Ala. His wife, Mattie, preceded him in death Jan. 22, 1981.
He was an employee of Pure Oil Co. in the Clay City area from 1937 until 1958 when they moved to Texas City.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Grove, Texas City; and Helen Moseley, Wheaton; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
