Jennette I. Skaggs, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1997 in Northwest Texas Hospital of Amarillo.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the First Baptist Church of Sanford with Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Casket bearers will be Jody Broom, Tony Gates, Vern Skaggs, John Spotora, Bob Hammack, Donald Artunian and Roy E. Broom.
Mrs. Skaggs was born in Lowell, Indiana, and had been a Borger resident since 1980, moving here from Hammond, Indiana. She was a greeter for Wal-Mart and a member of the First Baptist Church of Sanford. She married Robert Skaggs in 1943 in Houston; he preceded her in death in 1973.
Survivors include three sons, Guy Vern Skaggs of Borger, Robert Skaggs of San Antonio and Thomas M. Skaggs of Sanford; one daughter, Dianne Gates of Borger; one brother, Ray Clevinger of Indiana; four sisters, Marjorie Tingloff of Phoenix, Ariz., Adrian Shields of Borger, Adeline Lawrence of Indiana and Clara Clark of Hammond, Indiana; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimers Association.
