April 20, 1932 - October 12, 2011
David Meyer Spector, Jr., of Denton passed away at his residence Wednesday, October 12, 2011. He was born to David Myer Spector and Anna Barnes Spector on April 20, 1932, in Borger, Texas. He married June Stamps on February 25, 1956. She preceded David in death. Mr. Spector served on the Board of Regents for Frank Phillips College, in Borger, was past President of the Rotary Club in Borger, and served on the Chamber of Commerce in Borger, Texas. David was self employed as a scrap dealer.
Funeral services will be conducted at Midway Baptist Church on Friday, October 14, 2011 beginning at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend John Theisen officiating. Burial will be Monday, October 17, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Chris Carlile officiating the graveside.
David is survived by one son, David Meyer Spector III and his wife Janet of Denton, TX; two daughters, Stacie Cates and husband Scott of Denton, TX, and Debra Minter and husband Seth of Pilot Point, TX; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. David is also survived by one sister, Sara Watson, Frisco, TX. Mr. Spector was preceded in death by his wife, one daughter, Zoe Anna Spector, and one sister, Lee Doris Skogg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Slay Memorial Funeral Center in Aubrey, Texas.
