TRENT MAN IS FATALLY HURT AT STAMFORD
Two Others Are Injured in Automobile Crash on Highway South of Town

Stamford - Feb. 16 - J. T [S.] Thompson, farm employee of the Trent community, was killed and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Webster, also of near Trent, were injured in an automobile mishap on the highway southwest of here tonight.

Thompson, about 50, was partially thrown from the car and Mr. and Mrs. Webster were hurled clear when the machine, a coupe, struck a culvert railing. The car was not overturned. The three were brought by passerby to a Stamford hospital, where Thompson died within 10 minutes. His skull was fractured.

Webster, who was semi-conscious, has a probable fracture of the skull and severe scalp lacerations. Mrs. Webster was suffering from bruises, lacerations and shock.

The accident occurred at 9 o'clock, half a mile from the Duke filling station, which marks the junction of the Hamlin road with highway No. 4-30. Thompson and the Websters had left Stamford en route to their home, by way of Hamlin, it was learned.

Thompson's body was at the Kinney funeral home here.
