*Obituary
MARY JANE STEINBACH, 71, of Texas City, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Mainland Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, May 9, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be Monday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. service time.
Mrs. Steinbach was born November 23, 1939 in Henderson, Texas. She was a caregiver.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Newton, her parents, Howard and Emma Welch, a sister and three brothers.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Arnold Ray Steinbach; sons Okie Newton and wife Beth, Wayne Newton and wife Mary, and Robert Newton and wife Sabrina; grandchildren: Lisa, Cody, Fillipe, Lauren, Diana, Charles, Jonathan, and Justin; great-grandchild, Braedyn; brothers Howard Welch and Andy Welch; sister Nellie Schaeffer; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Dr. Nodarse and Dr. Nickeson; also, special thanks to Becca Wilson, her CCU nurse.
