Willie 0. 'Doc' Hodges
SANTA FE - Willie O. "Doc" Hodges, 87, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away Saturday, June 9,2001. in Texas City.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with Alex Yovan officiating. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2001, at the funeral home.
Mr. Hodges was born March 6, 1914, in Lovelady, Texas. He was a retired pipefitter at Union Carbide after 32 years of service.
Survivors include _six daughters, Laverne Dover, Neva Jones, Ruthie Hocutt, Debra Smith, all of Texas City, Callie Baxter, of Splendora and Cristie Arrazola, of Dickinson; two sons, Larry Hodges and Gerald Hodges Sr., both of Texas City; twenty six grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Bubba Jones, Bert Jones, Hobie Dover, Robert Gerhardt, Jason White and Gerald Hodges Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Rodney Dover and Brandon White.
The family would like to xtend special thanks to AMED Community Hospice for their loving care and support.
