Cecil Springer, 84, Borger, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1993 in Golden Plains Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Archie Echols, pastor First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Rose Hill, he had been a Borger resident for 63 years. He was a retired pumper with Gulf Oil Company. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and a World War II Army veteran.

He married Mary Warren July 27, 1936 in Stinnett.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two brothers, K.P. Springer of Nevada City, Calif.; and Raymond Springer of Forney; three sisters, Valetta Aslin of Forney; Bernice Mars of Rockwell; and Zelma Ruth Richman of Scurry.

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
