NEW JERSEY — Margaret V. Burton, 53, of New Jersey died at Rahway Hospital in New Jersey. A memorial service will be held for Margaret on Saturday May 21 1994 at 5 p.m. at the Emken-Linton Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev Keith Cogburn will officiate. Friends may visit from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Margaret was born in Longview and was a longtime resident of Texas City before moving to New Jersey. She retired from a long working career and became a homemaker. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Texas City and attended Texas City schools. She led a very active life.
She is survived by her husband, Dan A. Burton of New Jersey; son, Scott Burton and his wife, Jean, of Illinois; daughter, Karrie Rich and her husband the service at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Emken-Linton. Madison Rich of New Jersey, Nicole Kazajian of Illinois; many nieces, nephews, friends and special friends, Glada and Frank Rich of Texas City. God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you, and whispered "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
