GALVESTON - Wilbert Joseph Rogers, 88, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004, at his son's residence in Galveston, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2004, in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home, Galveston, with Mr. B.J. Schipper, Chaplain of Hospice Care Team, Inc., officiating. Entombment will follow services Monday at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Alta Loma, Texas. Mr. Rogers' family will gather for visitation Sunday, March 14, 2004, also in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday evening from 5 p.m. until 7p.m.

Mr. Rogers was born in Conroe, Texas, November 3, 1915. He was a veteran of the United States Army, stationed here on Galveston Island at Fort Crockett. As a railroad car inspector he worked for G H & H Railroad where he retired after thirty-eight years of dedicated service to the company. He enjoyed cooking and fishing and was the perfect host of backyard family Bar-B-Que's and "Fish Fry's". He also liked to garden and would take time when he could to nurture his backyard vegetable garden. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who gave whole-heartedly of himself to the family he loved. He will be sadly missed.

Mr. Rogers is preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Kathleen L. Rogers. He leaves behind many fond memories with his daughter, Cynthia Rogers of Galveston and his only son, Robert Rogers, also of Galveston. Sharing in his loss, also, is Mr. Rogers' only granddaughter, DeDe Rogers Morton and husband, Chris of Omega Bay, one great-granddaughter, Madison Morton, also of Omega Bay, a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Morton, John Cotter, John Hanner, Terry Johanson, Gail Kilgore and Stewart Armstead. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Garibaldi, John Naron, Scott Sharp and Glenn Goff.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Rogers' family is requesting that memorials in his memory be made to the Hospice Care Team, Inc., 1708 Amburn, Suite C, Texas City, Texas, 77591-2436 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 129, Texas City, Texas, 77592-0129.

GALVESTON - Kathleen L. Rogers, 76, passed away Monday,
February 18, 2002, at her son's residence in Galveston, Texas. A Chapel Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2002, in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home, Galveston, with the Rev. Mack Lavine, Pastor of Santa Fe Family Worship Center, officiating. Entombment will follow services Thursday at
Grace Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Alta Loma, Texas. Gathering for visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2002, also in the Memorial Room of Broadway Funeral Home. Mrs. Rogers' family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening after 5:00 p.m.

Mrs. Rogers was born April 22, 1925, on Galveston Island. For the last 16 years, she and her husband have lived in
Santa Fe, Texas. Mrs. Rogers was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose generosity and kind ways extended not only to her family but to her many friends. A special child of God, she
devoted herself to helping people in need. She had a caring and a willingness about her that made her most special in the hearts of her family.

Mrs. Rogers is predeceased in death by his parents, Henry, Sr. and Mae Lausen, two sisters, Ore May Jordan and Mitzi Lausen and also by three of her brothers,
Henry Lausen, Jr., Carl Lausen and Robert Lausen. She leaves behind many fond memories with her loving husband,
Wilbert J. Rogers of Santa Fe, Texas, her daughter, Cynthia Rogers, also of Santa Fe, Texas and her only son, Robert Rogers of Galveston, Texas. Sharing in this
loss, also, is Mrs. Rogers' only granddaughter, DeDe Rogers Morton and husband, Chris of Omega Bay and one great-granddaughter, Madison Morton, also of Omega Bay, one sister, Charlotte Brandon, one brother,
Gus Lausen, numerous nieces and nephews, a host of other relatives and many friends. She will be sadly missed.

Pallbearers will be Chris Morton, Charles Jordan, John Cotter, Scott Sharp, John Hanner and Will Brandon.
