James William Davlin, 87, of Santa Fe, Texas passed away February 21, 2016.

Jim was born September 16, 1928 to Grace and Maurice Davlin in Houston, Texas. Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1953 during World War II and the Korean Conflict achieving the rank of Boatswain Mate First Class. Jim served aboard the USS Sevier, The USS Boxer and the USS Bayfield and was stationed at the US Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas. He received a World War II Victory Medal, China Service Medal, and a Korean Service Medal. Jim retired as an Operator from Union Carbide after 37 years and was a member of the Texas City Masonic Lodge No. 1118.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Patricia Davlin, daughter Patricia Ann Turnipseed and husband Terry, granddaughters Tracey Turnipseed and Emily Gartner and husband Michael, great grandchildren Kayla and Amber Sullivan and Caleb and Ella Grace Gartner, niece Cindy Sandusky, and nephew Tim Sandusky.

A visitation in his honor will be held 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, February 26, 2016 with funeral services at 2:00 pm, Crowder Funeral Home Chapel, Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park, Hitchcock,
