Virginia C. Lowe, 89, of Texas City, passed away Wednesday, October 4th, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Hayes-Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Virginia was born October 9th, 1927 in Carrol County, Mississippi. She was a retired nurse and was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband volunteered for many years at the Shriners Hospital for Children, Burns Hospital - Galveston.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Joe K. Lowe; parents, John and Zuline Campbell; and her brothers, Godfrey Campbell and John Campbell, Jr.

Virginia was Mother to John Lowe and wife Lisa, Ginger Toomey and husband Jim, and Terri Grossman and husband Jack. She was Grandma to Clint, Rhonda, Jimbo, Jason, Brittany and Sierra and Great-Grandma to Wyatt, Addison, Stephen, Vivian and Joe Rio.

Memorials may be made to Faith Community Hospice 4721 - Garth Road Baytown, TX 77521 or Shriners Burns Hospital 815 – Market Street Galveston, TX 77550-9969 or a favorite charity.
