Funeral services for Gentry Kent Trahern, 53, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, at 1st Baptist Church in Borger. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Gentry died Wednesday, November 2, in an auto accident near Stinnett.
Gentry was a Borger resident for the past 30 years and was a Welder for Dynamic at the Valero Plant in Dumas. He married Mary Susan Niles February 11, 1978, in Borger. He was active in the Tri City Youth Association, Promise Keepers and the Walk to Emmaus group. Gentry loved his family and especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Trahern.
He is survived by his wife of Susan, his son, Aaron Trahern and wife Kara of Borger, his 3 daughters, Miranda Martinez and her husband Joey of Stinnett, Laura Cano and her husband Mark of Austin, TX, Genta Huffman and her husband Josh of Franklin, TX, 2 brothers, Troy Trahern of Sunray and Flint Trahern of Bowie, TX, 7 grandchildren, Gavin Martinez, Averi Cano, Landon Trahern, Addison Trahern, McKinley Trahern and Rilynn Huffman.
