LA MARQUE — Mr. John Joseph Paul (Jack) Conroy, Jr. passed from this life Wednesday, October 13, 2004, in Galveston.
Born July 22, 1914, in Union Town, Pennsylvania, Mr. Conroy had been a resident of La Marque since 1993, previously of Hitchcock. He had retired in 1981, after 53 years as a seaman, was a member of the National Maritime Union and served in the U. S. Air Corps.
Survivors include his wife of over 43 years, Anita Conroy of La Marque; sister -in-law and brother -in-law, Mary and John Paul Gordon of El Paso and niece, Beverly Ann Johnson of El Paso.
A private entombment will take place at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
