TEXAS CITY — Perry S. Howerton, 77 of Texas City passed away July 1, 1994 in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 1994 at Emken-Linton Chapel. Burial will follow service at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 9 a.m. till Noon at the funeral home.

Mr. Wood was born May 18, 1917 in Genoa, Nebraska. He was retired from Union Carbide as an Engineer after 32 years of
service.

Survivors include wife Katherine Howerton of Texas City; sons, Leigh Howerton and wife Jeanie of Texas City, Neal Howerton and wife Jacqueline of Santa Barbara, CA.; brothers, Virgil Howerton of Wichita Falls, TX, Lloyd Howerton of Tyler, TX; sisters, Naomi Coryell of De Soto, TX, Ada Chandler of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Lori Howerton, Jenny Howerton, Lucas Howerton.

TEXAS CITY — Katherine "Kay" Howerton, 89, of Texas City, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008, in Texas City.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, December 27, at the First Presbyterian Church in Texas City with Dr. Skip Ehrlich officiating. Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, December 26, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mrs. Howerton was born September 10, 1919, in El Campo, Texas. She was a homemaker. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas in 1940.

She is preceded in death by her husband Perry Howerton.

Survivors include her sons Leigh Howerton and wife Jeanie and Neal Howerton; grandchildren Lori Landriault, Jenny Flowers and husband Steven, and Lucas Howerton; great-grandchildren Jakeb Flowers, Darren Flowers, and Nora Landriault, numerous other relatives and friends.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Fan Li, the caregivers at Seabreeze Care Center, and AMED Hospice for their compassionate care.
