*Obituary
LA MARQUE - Donald Edward Oliphant, 70, of La Marque, passed away at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in Webster, Texas.
He was born August 17, 1932, in Grand Saline, Texas. He was a retired crane operator for Union Carbide and a member of Heavy Equipment Operators Local #450.
Survivors include his wife Alma Oliphant of La Marque; three sons and daughters-in-law Tommy and Carmen Oliphant of Texas City, Johnny and Gina Oliphant of La Marque
and Donald E. Oliphant Jr. of Austin; siblings Janice Allen of Ulm, Texas and John Lewis Oliphant of La Marque, Texas; four grandchildren Jeremy, Candice, Dustin and Dylan Oliphant; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Charles and Gordon Oliphant.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Oliphant, Dustin Oliphant, Dylan Oliphant, Michael Oliphant, Gordon Oliphant Jr., and Les Helton.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday July 17, 2003, at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral services will be Friday, July 18, 2003, at the funeral home with Pastor Al Scholtz. Burial will follow services at Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum in
Hitchcock, Texas.
