*Obituary for Harold
Harold R. Vaughan, 60, of 104 Lynnwood in Borger, died at 5 p.m. Thursday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

An instrument man for Phillips Petroleum Plains Plant until it closed then the Phillips Refinery, he was a Borger resident for 39 years.

He was a member of Borger Elks Lodge 1581, Phillips bowling League and Phillips Country Club.

He is survived by his wife Juanita of the home; one daughter, Donna Nidiffer of Aurora, Colo., and one grandson, Timothy Nidiffer, stationed in West Germany with the U.S. Army.

Services are pending with Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ruby Juanita Vaughan, 83, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 8, 2009.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Hensley, pastor of Bunavista Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Vaughan was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Wetumka, Okla. She was a lab tech supervisor for Phillips Copolymer Plant, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include a brother, Ernest Burkes Jr. of Borger; a sister, Mildred Smith of Wetumka; a grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
