*Obituary
John Woodson Richardson succumbed about 8:30 p.m. Monday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after an extended illness. He came to Crosbyton in 1912 from Johnson County.
Mr. Richardson was 69. He resided at 424 South Avenue A.
Memorial rites were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the King Funeral Home chapel. Dr. Fred Howard of Wayland Baptist College in Plainview and Rev. Vance Mitchell of Crosbyton officiated.
Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson was a retired farmer and truck driver.
Born September 25, 1905 in Johnson County, he and the former Sadie R. Lacey were married May 29, 1950 in Hobbs, NM.
Mrs. Richardson is among survivors. Other survivors include one son, William Schram of Indo, Calif.; one daughter, Mary Hudson of Fort Worth; a half-sister, Mrs. Ruby Whalen of Crosbyton; four grandchildren; five nieces, and a nephew.
