ONEIL KEITH FRIDGE, 69, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his home in League City, Texas. Keith was born to Hubert and Laverne Fridge on June 25, 1945 in Texas City, Texas. Keith graduated in 1964 from Texas City High School and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Abilene Christian College in 1968. After graduating college, Keith was drafted into the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge in 1970. In 2013, Keith retired from Turtle & Hughes, Inc. after working 30 years in Inside Sales.

Keith was a devoted member at Clear Lake Church of Christ for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and a car lover, especially his midnight blue Corvette.

A devoted and loving husband, Keith is survived by his wife Evelyn; his brother, Clifton Fridge, and his wife, Glenda Fridge; his brother, E.R. Fridge, and wife, Judi Fridge and his sister, Marsha Jay. He is also survived by his stepdaughter, Stephanie Weiss, and her husband, Troy Weiss; his stepson, Shawn Golden, and his wife, Esmeralda Golden; and his four grandchildren, Cameron Weiss, Connor Weiss, Kaleb Golden, Kayla Golden as well as his nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved: Chris Fridge, Rob Fridge, Shelly Allen, Rick Fridge, Rob Fridge, Eric Fridge, Cindy Jay and Debbie Meyers. Keith was preceded in death by his nephew, Bill Fridge.

Keith was a man of very few words, choosing instead to convey his love for his family and friends through the way that he cared for them on a daily basis. His tender and giving heart and his devotion to God are the inexhaustible gifts he left to each of us. A man of indomitable spirit, Keith drew strength from the word of the Lord, including one of his favorite passages from the Bible: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8.

A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015, from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. at Clear Lake Church of Christ, 938 El Dorado Blvd., Houston, TX 77062. Following the reception, the funeral will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Byron Fike and Eric Fridge officiating. Interment will immediately follow the funeral at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery, 10708 State Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX 77563.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith’s memory to Clear Lake Church of Christ with notation to Brockington Mission Fund.

Condolences may be sent to the Fridge family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.
