SANTA FE - Mrs. Carla Jean Moody passed from this life Thursday morning, July 27, 2017, in Santa Fe.

Born April 30, 1958 in Houston, Mrs. Moody had been a resident of Santa Fe for 38 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Alta Loma and had a passion for singing. Carla enjoyed the beach, traveling, backgammon, card tricks and loved her cats and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Joseph and Frances Louise (Hollerman) Rees, Jr.; brother, Don Davidston.

Survivors include her loving husband of over 37 years, Bill Moody, Jr.; 3 sons, Mike Moody, Mark Moody, Robert Moody; sisters, Patty and husband, Pastor Mike Allcorn, Diane Ford of Kauffman, Texas; granddaughter, Novalee Marcantel; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 31, 2017, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Allcorn officiating.

Entombment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pallbearers will be Jason Allcorn, Kenny Moody, Mark Moody, Robert Moody, Gerald Nordin and Sean Whorthy. Honorary bearer will be Mike Moody.

Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, TX (409) 925-3501.
