Carol Nickson Yowell, 73, of Crosbyton passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, in Lubbock. Carol was born on Feb. 8, 1940, in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Gerald Carter Bill Nickson and Rubye Collier. She married Larry Yowell on Aug. 19, 1960, in Crosbyton, Texas. They celebrated 50 years of marriage. Larry preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2010. Carol was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ and was a teller at Citizens National Bank, retiring after 32 years of service. She was an active member of the Senior Citizens Center. She was very proud of her town and was always willing to serve her community with love, food, and friendship. She is survived by daughters, Virginia Neely and husband Jerry of Rhome, and Becky Shock and husband Jim of Crosbyton, and son, Lance Yowell and wife Kim of Keller. Her grandchildren include Coltin Shock, Derek Neely, Rachael Neely, Kevin Neely, Kayla Yowell, and Brooklyn Yowell. She is also survived by one brother, Don Nickson of Crosbyton, and aunt, Polly Davies of Arizona.
