C. Michael Ward, 63, of Ralls, passed away Wednesday morning, July 30th.

He was born to Clovis and the Late Teddie Ward, January 5, 1951, in Lubbock, Tx. Mike graduated from Monterey High School in 1969 and went on to receive his undergraduate from Texas Tech in 1973 and then received his Juris Doctorate from the Texas Tech School of Law in 1976. Mike married Cathy on December 27, 1971, and eventually moved to Ralls in 1990.

Mike practiced law in Lubbock, Canadian, and Crosby County and served as the District Attorney for Crosby County since 1995. Mike had been active in First United Methodist Church in Ralls, and the Ralls Lions Club.

He is survived by his wife Cathy, children Amanda of Ralls, Tx., and Andrew and his wife Lindsey and their daughter Mayleigh of Aledo, Tx. His father Clovis of Lubbock, Tx., brother Randy and wife Pat of Lubbock, Tx., and sister Debbie and husband Roy of Lubbock, Tx.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make donations to your favorite charity of choice.

Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls Friday, August 1st, from 6pm till 7pm. Services will be held Saturday, August 2nd, at 11am. at First United Methodist Church in Ralls. Interment will follow in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home.
