Funeral services for Gene Norris, 58, of Ralls were held at 4 p.m. Friday in Emma Church of Christ with Loy Hardesty, minister, officiating.
Burial was in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died Wednesday in his home. Justice of the Peace Jim Travis ruled the death was due to natural causes.
He was born in Eastland County. He married the former Doris Irvin Feb. 23, 1950, in Lubbock. He was a farmer, a veteran of World War II in the Navy and a member of the Church of Christ, the Farm Bureau and the Farmers Union. He moved to Ralls in the early 1930s.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Danny of Lubbock and Norman, Walt and Scott all of Ralls; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Norris of Ralls; three brothers, Dalton and Doyle both of Ralls; and Carlos of San Antonio; a sister, Cheryl DeGan of Ralls; and seven grandchildren.
