When David J Woodrow Collins and his twin brother Woodrow L were born on November 11, 1917, in Fairlie, Texas, their father, Kirt, was 31, and their mother, Anna, was 29. He had two sons with Myrtle Willie Seamore between 1937 and 1939. He died on March 4, 1990, in Brownfield, Texas, at the age of 72, and was buried there.
