*Obituary for Rodney
Rodney R. Weddington, 80, of Borger, died Wednesday March 5, 1997 at High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Funeral services were held today at 3 p.m. in Faith Covenant Church with the Rev. Ken Sheppard, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in the Garden of Prayer at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Clovis, N.M., he had been a Borger resident since 1934. He was co-owner of R & R Sheet Metal in Borger and a member of the Faith Covenant Church. He was also a member of Rotary since 1943, the Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge and a life member of the Elks Lodge. He was also a member of the Lubbock Scottish Rites and the Khiva Shrine Temple.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita, in 1984 and his daughter, Carolyn Sue Weddington, in 1988.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Weddington of the home; one son, Dick Weddington of Borger; four step-daughters, Linda Andersen of Houston, Frieda Pickett of Butler, Tenn., Waynel Sexton of Houston and Kim Gallindo of Dallas; one brother, Coleman Weddington of Mineral Wells; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Faith Covenant Memorial Fund or to your favorite charity.

Juanita Weddington, 66, of Borger, died Sunday in Amarillo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Covenant Church with the Rev. Kenneth Sheppard, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Weddington was born in Oklahoma City, Okla. She had lived in Borger since 1926 and had been active in Women of Rotary.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney; a son, Dick of Borger; a daughter, Carolyn of Macon, Ga.; a brother, Raymond Johnson of Houston; and two grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a favorite charity.
