Funeral mass for Erlinda Linda Briseno Trujillo, 91, of Othello, Wash., will be Thursday April 3, 2014, at 2 p.m. in St. Lorenzo Catholic Church of Lorenzo, Texas, with Fr. Jose Kochuparambil officiating. Interment will follow at Lorenzo Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels, 407 N. University Ave. Friends are invited to pray the Rosary at 7 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in the chapel. Ms. Trujillo passed in to the waiting arms of Jesus on March 27, 2014. She was at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Othello at the time of her passing. She was born in Carlota, Texas, on Sept. 22, 1922, to her late parents, Victor and Maria (Correa) Briseno. Linda was a member of St. Lorenzo where she taught CCE and was the past president of the Guadalupanas. She owned and operated Lopez Caf in Lorenzo before moving to Washington, where she retired from McCain Potato after working for more than 15 years. Linda worked in various jobs in the agriculture industry. Aside from supporting her children, she was a foster parent to 20 children. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening, but had a special passion for growing roses, and supplied many florists with roses. Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Mary Lopez, Dominga Ortiz, and Reymundo Lopez, all of Lorenzo, Miguel Lopez of Marion, Texas, Luz Lopez, Ventura Lopez, and Christina Weatherby, all of Washington State, and Resa Deal of Georgia. She also leaves behind her 33 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her children, Rodolfo and Paula Lopez; along with three great-grandchildren.
