Saundra Whittington
February 03, 1946 - August 27, 2018
Saundra Sue Whittington went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, August 27, 2018.
Services will be held Thursday, August 30. 2018 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Baptist Church, Borger. The family will have a private interment.
Pallbearers will be Jeff and Kathy Whittington; Gregg and Christy Whittington; and Jerry and Theresa Whittington.
Saundra was born February 3, 1946 in Checotah, OK to Bill and Bonnie Goodman. She married Eddie Whittington on January 20, 1961.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws, Charlie and Hazel Whittington; her nephew, Mark Sharp; and her sister and brother-in-law, Hilda and Denny Hillius.
Saundra is survived by her loving husband, Eddie; her sons: Jeff and wife Kathy; Gregg and wife Christy; Jerry and wife, Theresa. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Phyllis Heatley; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Saundra was the most God-fearing, compassionate, and selfless wife, and mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. But of all those titles, she was Nana to everyone. She was never too busy to give advice or a hug. She loved us all fiercely and deeply and Lord help anyone who did us harm because they would have to answer to her. She was the glue that held us together and she will be greatly missed.
The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, August 29 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, Borger.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
