Services for Alvin K. Parchman, 56 of Ralls were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lorenzo United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Putnam, pastor officiating. The Rev. Putnam was assisted by the Rev. Fred Meeks, pastor of Lorenzo First Baptist Church.
Burial was in Lorenzo Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Home of Ralls.
Parchman died Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock following a lengthy illness.
He was manager of Farmer Gin in Farmer Community. Born in Lorenzo, he was a veteran of W.W.II, and had lived in Crosby County all his life. He married Pauline Rust Jan. 4, 1948 in Plainview. Parchman was a member of the Lorenzo Masonic Lodge and the Lorenzo United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, John of Dimmitt and Jace of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. John Goforth of Wichita Falls and Jeri of the home; one grandchild and his mother, Mrs. R.E. Parchman of Lorenzo.
