FRITCH - Funeral services for Russell "Joker" Wilder, 81, of Fritch was at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Fritch First Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Foster, pastor of the Lake Meredith Baptist Church, officiating.

He died at 10 a.m. Monday in his home.

A native of Wyandotte, Okla., he had been a Frich [sic] resident since 1942. He was a retired truck driver for Natural Gas Pipeline, and was a Baptist.

Survivors include Nova Homer of Fritch; two daughters, Hazel Read, Libby, Mont.; Pauline Shoemaker of Pitcher, Okla.; one step-daughter, Patricia Baxter of Austin; one step-son, Ray Sumpter of Fritch; one sister, Dee Durham of El Cerrito, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Wallace Smith, Roy Buchanan, Corky Heard, Bob Snow, John Morrison, and Thurman Lewis.

The family requests memorials be made to hospice of Pampa.

Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.
