Jack Leon Key, 79, of Levelland passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Texas Specialty Hospital in Lubbock, Texas. Funeral Services are under the direction of Geroge Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas and will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm Park Drive Baptist Church in Levelland with Reverend Gil Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow at Terry County Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas. There will be a family visitation on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at George Price Funeral Home in Levelland, Texas. Jack was born on July 12, 1932 in Brownfield, Texas. He was the son of D.A. and Stella May (Goldston) Key. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 1950. He joined the U.S. Army in 1952 and received an Honorable Discharge in 1954 with the rank of corporal. He married Jerri Dumas on October 12, 1957. She passed away in 2002. He married Linda Montgomery on February 28, 2003. He retired from Southwestern Public Service after thirty years of employment. He was a Journeyman Lineman. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for fifty six years. Jack liked to go hunting and fishing at the cabin. He was known to be a pretty good player of “42”. He liked to play computer games, but most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his wife: Linda (Montgomery) Key of the home, two daughters; Karla Welch and her husband, Neil of Levelland, Texas, Becky Garcia and her husband, Vincent of Lubbock, Texas, three sons; Jimmy Montgomery and his wife, Kathy of Abilene, Texas, Kenny Montgomery and his wife, Brandy of Levelland, Texas, Tim Montgomery and his wife, Sue Beth of Levelland, Texas, eight granddaughters; Kourtney Welch, Kaycee Welch, Kara Montgomery, Olivia Montgomery, Mya Garcia, Kirston Montgomery, Bree Montgomery, and Brynlee Montgomery, three grandsons; Matt Montgomery, Triston Montgomery, and Ian Garcia. He was preceded in death by his parents; D.A. and Stella May Key, his wife, Jerri (Dumas) Key and two sons; Scott Key and Kregg Key.
