Walter L. "Doc" Williams, 83, of Borger, died Friday, Feb. 25, 1994, in the Borger Nursing Home.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Raines, pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A retired mechanic from Phillips Petroleum Company, Mr. Williams was a native of Westville, Okla., and a Borger resident since 1947.

He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby, of the home; three sons, John Williams, of Angleton, Jim Williams, of Kirtland, N.M., and Glen Whaley, of Amarillo; two daughters, Juanita Matlock, of Borger, and Glenda Ryans, of Blanchard, Okla.; two brothers, Jay Williams, of Andrews, and Wilder Williams, of Fairfax, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Thurman Hunt, Weldon Smith, Ronny Whaley, James Mears, James McMahan and Leonard Foster.

Rosary for Mrs. Nellie Mary [sic] Williams, 54, of Phillips, will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Ed Brown's Chapel of the Fountains in Borger.

Funeral mass will be read at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Catholic Church by Rev. B.A. Erpen.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Ed Brown & Son Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Williams, a resident of Phillips since 1948, died Sunday in Newman Memorial Clinic at Shattuck, Okla. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, W.L. Williams; two sons, John of Houston and James of Farmington, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Matlock of Hutchinson, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Marceil Cozart of Aztec, N.M., a daughter, Mrs. Juanita Matlock of Hutchinson, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Marceil Cozart of Aztec, N.M., [sic] and Mrs. Billy Reed of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; her mother, Mrs. Stella Corbett of Truth or Consequences, and seven grandchildren.
