Robert J. "Bob" Pierantoni went to be with the Lord on Oct. 9, 2011, at the age of 71. Bob was born to Howard and Cecile Pierantoni on Sept. 3, 1940, in Iron River, Mich.
He graduated from Iron River High School with the class of 1958, and joined the Air Force at the age of 17. He served 22 years, being stationed in eight different countries. Bob received many awards, commendations and decorations, including the bronze star for his service in Vietnam. Bob achieved the rank of Chief Master Sergeant at the age of 38 and retired at the age of 41. After retiring from the military, he spent the next 18 years in the car business in San Angelo.

Bob is survived by his children, Mary Parkhill and her husband Jim, Ruth Atkinson Davis and David Atkinson, all of the Lubbock area; his mother, Cecile Pierantoni, formerly of Iron River, Mich., and retired in San Angelo, Texas; and a brother, Keith Pierantoni of Houston, Texas. Bob loved his six grandchildren, his "Red Raiders" - Paige and CJ Parkhill, Quinten and Madison Davis, and Sam and Ben Atkinson, and his dear friends, Larry and Kay Hendel, and Nancy and Jesse Snider.

Bob was preceded in death by his soulmate and beloved wife, Davina (Diane) Pierantoni; his father, Howard Pierantoni; and brother, David Pierantoni
