Funeral services for Mrs. Elton Polvadore, 35, who was killed in a pickup-car collision on a rain slick highway eight miles west of Robert Lee about 11 a.m. Sunday, were held at Ralls First Baptist church at 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Rev. James Abernethy, pastor, officiated. Mrs. Earl Tinnin and Mrs. Ellis Henry sang "Whispering Hope" and the choir sang "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" with Mrs. Abernethy at the organ.

Burial was in Ralls cemetery.

The Polvadores were enroute to San Angelo when their pickup and an automobile collided. Mrs Polvadore was killed and her husband suffered a dislocated hip bone, facial cuts and other injuries and bruises. He remained in a Robert Lee hospital until Tuesday morning. He was brought by ambulance to Spikes hospital in Ralls so he could attend funeral services.

In the wreck, Mrs. [Cloyd] A. Turner, 28, of Odessa was killed instantly. Her husband died Tuesday morning from injuries received and his twin brother, also an occupant of the car, remained in the hospital.

Georgia Janet Green was born Jan. 5, 1918 near Childress. She moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Green to Ralls in 1923, where she has lived on a farm and in Ralls continuously since. She graduated from Ralls High School in 1937.

Miss Green was married to Elton Polvadore on her birthday, Jan. 5, 1939. As a member of the Ralls Study Club, she was chairman of the art committee. The club's Art and Hobby Show in observance of Texas Art Week won first place at Austin. Mrs. Polvadore also won honors with her own paintings at different times.

Survivors include her husband, Elton; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Green, Ralls; three sisters, Mrs. J.B. Morris and Mrs. J.W. Broome Jr., both of Lubbock; and Mrs. Harl Cypert, Lorenzo; and three brothers, Curtis T., Charles E. and James T. Green, all of Ralls; Cecil, Arthur and Jim Green are paternal uncles of Mrs. Polvadore. John T. Polvadore and Ray Polvadore are brother-in-laws.
