Memorial services for John W. Wise, 74, Borger, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Archie Echols, pastor, First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Cremation arrangements were by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
Mr. Wise died Tuesday, July 12, 1994 at his home.
A native of Carthage, Mo., he had been a Borger resident for 41 years. He was a retired engineer for the City of Borger. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and National Rifle Association.
He was a graduate of Missouri School of Mines, and was a mining engineer with Kennecott Copper Corp.
He married Lucille Engle in March 1940.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John David Wise of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Suzanne Wise Gordon of Griffin, Ga. and three grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Association or American Heart Association.

Lucille E. Wise, 77, Borger, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 1996 in North Plains Care Center.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. David Jones, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Brown Funeral Directors.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., she had been a Borger resident for 44 years. She was a housewife and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wise on July 12, 1994.
Survivors include a son, John David Wise of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Fred (Susanne) Gordon of Griffin, Ga.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
