Morris A. Powell, 94, of Lubbock, formerly of Crosbyton passed away November 8, 2014. Graveside services with military honors will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2014, in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Elder Tom Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Morris was born July 4, 1920 in Hunt County, Texas to Henry Allan and Elizabeth Jane Williams Powell. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crosbyton where he served as a deacon. Morris served in the United States Army during WWII and was a life time Lions Club member. He will be missed by all who knew him. Morris is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Inez Powell, and second wife Rachel Taylor Powell. He is survived by a daughter Sharon Kay Bradley and husband Fred of Lubbock, one son Morris Lynn Powell of Pampa, TX.; three step-sons; John Taylor and wife Linda of New York City, NY., Joe David Taylor of Crosbyton, Tom and Kathy Taylor of Crosbyton, one grandchild; Jennie Hogg and husband Matt of Lubbock, two great-grandchildren; Madilyn and Connor.
