Funeral services for Helen B. "Chance" Woody, 66, Borger, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with the Rev. Weldon Rives of Borger, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

She died at 1 a.m. Saturday in Amarillo.

A native of Maude, Okla., she had been a Borger resident Borger since 1946.

Mrs. Woody was a homemaker and a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church. She was owner and operator of the Clarendon Press for 14 years. She was 1986 Woman of the Year in Clarendon-Donley County, Woman of the Year Beta Sigma Phi in 1985, and Homecoming Queen 1986 in Anson. She was an honorary member of the 4-H Club in Anson and a Girl Scout sponsor.

She married J.C. Woody Dec. 5, 1948 in Borger.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard Woody of Skellytown; two brothers, A.M. Chance of Cross Plains, and Billy Joe Chance of Webster; a sister, Charlene Turner of Pampa; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Casketbearers will be Rusty Ratliff, Ronnie Ledbetter, Jim Slaybaugh Jerry Don Slaybaugh, Gary Chance, Ronnie Chance, Bobby Chance, and Dennis Chance.
