Wiley Henry Anstead Jr., 91, of Ralls, passed away December 16, 2016. He was born July 12, 1925 in Ralls Texas to Wiley and Ollie Elizabeth (Stoker) Anstead. Wiley served in the United States Army during WWII, where he was stationed in the Philippines. He owned and operated four service stations and a drilling service in Ralls for many years. Wiley received many local awards and was known as the Ambassador of Ralls. He never met a stranger and would always help anyone who needed it, often going the extra mile to see that it was done. Wiley will be missed by the whole city of Ralls as well as family and friends.

Wiley is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers J.R. “Dead Eye”, Ulric, and Leonard; and sister, Oleta Lorenzen.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters; Cynthia Reno and husband Alan of Rowlett; Mollie Jo Anstead of Red Oak; Julie Dawn Vaughn and husband Don of Leander; his son Wiley Dale Anstead of Ralls; eight grand children and three great-grandchildren; and longtime family friend and caretaker, Irene Calderon.

Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, December 21, at First Baptist Church in Ralls with burial following in the Ralls Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls. A visitation will be held from 6-7 pm Tuesday, December 20, at Adams Funeral Home in Ralls.
