Philip Lamar Bancroft

BORGER - Philip Lamar Bancroft, 77, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church with the Rev. John Gran, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Bancroft was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Bowlegs, Okla. He was the owner and operator of Phil's Repair for many years.

Survivors include a son, Dan Bancroft of Warrenville, Ill.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Pauline M. Bancroft, 68, Borger, were at 2 p.m. today at First Christian Church with the Rev. Tom Harrison, pastor, and the Rev. Richard Johnson of Putman, Okla., officiating.

Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

She died Friday, Feb. 11, 1994 in her home, 711 Roosevelt.

Mrs. Bancroft was born May 17, 1925 at Two Buttes, Colo. She moved to Borger in 1945 from Seminole, Okla. She was a bookkeeper for Phils Repair and North Plains Hospital.

She graduated from Seminole High School in 1942, and was a member of First Christian Church in Borger.

Survivors include her husband, Phil of the home; a son, Dan Bancroft of Lubbock; a daughter, Linda Jo Bancroft of Abilene; a sister, Phyllis Owen of Muskogee, Okla., and two grandchildren.

Casketbearers were Warren W. Argo, Howard Yeager, Joe Hull, Don Rumold, Felix Parker, and Mark Thrumbley.

Honorary casketbearers were the Ruth Group.

The family requests memorials be made to Hospice of the Panhandle.
